New Years Eve

Jodi has had a rough couple of days. As mentioned previously, she has a cold that makes it very difficult to breathe, swallow, etc. She is down about the long road ahead, her incremental progress, and is struggling with the overall weight of this task. She remains determined to work hard every day to see this through, but when the end is not yet imminent, well...........

Hopefully on Thursday she will get her smaller trach out and be able to work harder on her swallowing. Continue to pray for her, she is getting better every day.

Jodi,
I have tried to leave comments a few times and I never know how to tell you how often we think about you. I can not imagine how difficult this must be but we are amazed at how well you are doing and how much progress you make everyday. You are one of my favorite people in the whole world and it takes incredible strength to do what you are doing. I am writing to Oprah the minute you are all better. Edee is hoping they give away free American Girl dolls the day you are on the show and she says she gets first dibs. We love you so much and pray for you every night. Love, Gillian

Jodi,
Chip was very sick and in the hospital the first week of December. I heard about you while sitting and watching him. As I sat on Chip's bed, I talked to my daddy and your daddy, asking for their blessings, strength and love. I also told my dad that he had to back off and find a different heavenly hunting buddy, because I wasn't giving Chip up yet, and I told your daddy that you had way too many awesome Halloween costumes to invent yet. Chip is home and improving greatly, and you will be, too. Keep fighting and keep your spirits up. All my love, Karen.

Hi Jodi, The pictures were great to see, especially your wave. Jack thought it would make you feel better to know he just lost his first tooth, and a second one is wiggly! The kids and I talk about and pray for you often, and they are very excited for your recovery. Have a great day and a Happy New Year. Love, Karen and Jack Coleman.
