Thursday

Jodi's right eye has an infection. It is not getting enough moisture so tomorrow they will be stitching most of her right eye shut. This will allow the right eye to heal itself. The prognosis for the eye is still very promising. However, because of the infection, she is still unable to move to the rehab floor. She has been up and moving today; which has exhausted her, but she is moving more every day.

Jodi--my family and I have been fasting and praying for you. One of my favorite quotes is by Jeffrey R. Holland. I was reminded of it and shared it with Jed when your dad passed away. Again, I am reminded of it tonight as you are dealing with this great trial. "In the gospel of Jesus Christ you have help from both sides of the veil and you must NEVER forget that. When disappointment and discouragement strike--and they will--YOU remember and NEVER forget that if our eyes could be opened, we would see horses and chariots of fire as far as the eye can see, riding at reckless speed to come to our protection [See 2 Kings 6:16-17]. They will always be there, these armies of heaven, in defense of Apbraham's seed." I can only imagine on the day all this would begin, how those armies were so anxiously awaiting...and then at that orchestrated moment....riding at reckless speed to attend to the needs of you and your family. I know they are still there with you to protect and to provide the strength you and your family are in need of. I know that if you call on them, they will let you know they are there. I LOVE YOU, Jodi! You are my hero! Love Sherrie (Strebel) Fazzio and family
