Sunday - Surgery Part Deux

The surgery to stabilize Jodi's feeding tube didn't work. She has been in severe pain for the last couple of days because the feeding tube didn't attach correctly and it caused an abscess in her stomach lining. They will be taking her in a few minutes to do a more invasive surgery to better attach the tube. The problem was that they did not have enough quality tissue to work with the first time. So this time, they are making a larger incision and attaching the tube to better tissue. All of this is fairly "routine" but it delays Jodi's recovery several days. She is in ICU and will be until she recovers from this. She has been very down about the setback. But barring any setbacks this time, she will continue her rehab work in a few days.

Hi Jodi and family, I'm sorry for the setbacks. I pray that the next few days bring some more good news. Thank you so much for taking the time to keep us all informed. Love, Karen

Jodi and Rob,
You are in our prayers daily. Jodi, I am so amazed by your progress and what a strong woman you are. You have always amazed me at your kindness and patience with others, especially my little Landon. You are the only he was ever happy with in nursery. And Jaxon still talks about Aleq's party, the day after you had your beautiful little girl. Hang in there, and work hard, as I know that you will. What a trial you are going through, it reminds me how greatful we should all be for the many blessings that we have, and to not sweat the small stuff. I can see the determination in your face in these pictures, I know that you will recover and be home with your family before you know it. Tell Rob that we are here for anything that you need. I would be happy to take the kids, grocery shop, whatever that you need, anytime. Larry looks back at all the time that he has known Rob, and what a good man that he is. He loves you so much, and is a very strong man to manage all that is on his plate. You look beautiful as you always do. Again you are in our thoughts and prayers!! We love your family so much, and can not wait to see you. Michele keeps me updated on your progress, and for that I am greatful. I know that you are a special woman, you too worked with children, and gave your heart to protect them. You will be blessed for this as well, I know it. Hang in there. All our Love, Cheryl and Larry White
