Wednesday

Jodi is doing well. She still has a cold and is exhausted, but yesterday they made her stand up by herself 10 times. She is still very hopeful to get her trach out tomorrow and work hard on her swallowing. She said that the biggest issue right now is that she is so dizzy all of the time. This makes it very difficult for her to walk. She said that they keep telling her that this is normal, but she is tired of it, and wants it to go away. Every day her face looks better and she gets more control of her right side, but she is ready for bigger steps.

I spoke with Steven this morning and he wanted me to send you his love. He asks how you are all the time. He loves his new job (as i love my new job now too hee hee)and hopes he can see you soon. I'm sure that although you didn't plan your new year to start this way, it will be the best year ever for you and your family as you continue to get stronger and closer to going home! You look terrific - take care!

Jodi and Robert,
Happy New Year! Wow! You've had a great start with all the progress that you have been making. We are so touched and inspired to see your determination and faith through this trial. You have an awesome family and support group. We sure miss you guys in nursery. Tommy attempted to come one week, but wanted Grandpa. He is such a big boy. With all your progress, I'm sure you will be home sooner than the doctors originally thought. We can't wait to see you again. Thank you for being an inspiration to all of us. For Christmas, we got a picture and quote that says, "Adversity is not a punishment, but rather a blessing, for it is through adversity that we become strong." You and your family are so strong. You are amazing. Thank you for your awesome example! Love you guys!

Hi Jodi! I hope you remember me, it has been so long since we have talked but I have always been updated on how life was going for you. When I heard of this I was so sick and then really wanted to offer my support but was at the very least lost for words. However since I am still so lost for words I thought I better post just so you know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. My oldest son Jackson heard me telling my husband about what you were going through and I was wiping away tears he came to sit on my lap and said "mommy dont worry about her cuz 'Lijah is in heaven". Every now and then he will ask me out of the blue about how you are doing; it always seems to amaze me how close are little ones are to heaven. I can honestly say that I am sure my two boys dont get the whole heaven thing and they have an older brother up there but they must know something because when it is a bad day they seem to just say the perfect thing to me. I was given a saying the other day that made me really remember Elijah it was "One way to have heaven in your home is to have someone from your home in heaven." I am sure that you dad is there with you and your family as you go through this difficult time in your life and he is so proud of you and how much you have accomplished. My prayers are with you and I hope to re-build the friendship we shared. With love, Emily

Dear Jodi. We are so excited to see such improvement and progress from you. You may feel frustrated and feel that they are only baby steps but always remember that every day is a turn in the road. and you are that much closer to home. I learned not to long ago that God can move mountains but he needs us to show up with the shovel. One day after all your hard work jodi. You will be able to look back and see just how God moved that mountain for you. I know he loves you as do we. Maesee told me that when you get home she wants to paint your finger nails. We love you and are praying for you througout this journey in you life. Keep up the good work we see the monster steps you have taken.
Lots of love
The Bone Family
P.S. Robert if there is anything we can do. We still live next door. Are prayers are with you to.

Jodi,
I am amazed how much better you look. Please know that you are in our prayers daily. I have no doubt that you will make it, no matter how long it takes. We already have a place reserved for you in Amy's dance class. Please let Robert's parents know that they can call anytime and I will help in any way that I can. Love you lots. Annie
