“I only have a week and a half to go so I had better step it up”. That is what Jodi said before she started her therapies yesterday. She worked hard all day and today she did equally as well. She walked with the walker with one person assist.(she still struggles with balance and placing her steps.) She walked up and down stairs, did strengthening exercises etc. She also made peanut butter sandwiches, folded towels, made a bed, during occupational therapy. They are using small electrodes on her neck to stimulate her swallow muscles. She was excited to say that she could completely swallow during the treatment. They are still trying to decide when her trach will come out. She had more chest x-rays of her lungs to see if she is stable enough to remove it. I want to ask all who want to fast and pray for her on this issue, to join our family in doing so this Sunday. Jodi and her therapists along with myself went to the university book store today where she walked up and down the aisles and browsed. She very much enjoyed herself. Tomorrow evening, she and Robert and also of course, myself and her therapists will go bowling on campus. That should be a riot and I don’t mean because of Jodi. I am a terrible bowler.
