Tuesday

Jodi looks so good today. Her face seems to be improving and she said that she felt some pain yesterday on that side of her face. Very good news. She is still overwhelmed by her current state and the long road ahead; but she knows she will eventually get things back. She will be moving off this unit and onto the rehab unit. She still has an elevated white count, potentially a bladder infection, but nothing else that would interfere with her rehab. They are working on rehabbing her tounge and are still very confident that she will regain the ability to swallow.

I read to her today everything on the blog; including the comments that readers have posted. I told her how many people are reading this site, what areas of the country, etc. She showed some real excitement about everybody's thoughts, prayers, and concern. Keep 'em coming, she needs all the positive feedback she can get.

Jodi..I am so glad your family set up this blog so I can keep up on your progress as well as get to see you, Robert, and your beautiful new little girl. Jodi seeing these pictures of you after what you've been through shows me once again your example of courage, strength, and determination. I read this web page daily and I want you and Robert to know your in Brent and I thoughts and prayers. There aren't many times I wish I was back in Utah but now I wish I was. There is only so much a friend can do from a distance. So I will be emailing you frequently sending my love. I will be there in January and it can't come soon enough! At this time of year I am reminded of this thought by Robert Lewis Stevenson, "A friend is a gift you give yourself." Thank you Jodi for your wonderful gift!

P.S. My mom sends her love but you know her...terrible on the computer!
