Friday

Jodi had a good day today although she is still without much energy. Physical therapy got her up and she walked down the hall with help. I think that if she could speak, she would have been cursing. She still hurts from the surgery but still no infection, for which we are very grateful. They are steadily increasing her tube feedings and that is helping. Baring any further complications, we are hoping that she will soon be taken off of ICU and be back into rehab. Little Ana Jain is totally bonded with Jodi’s sister Wendy and Wendy is bonded with her as well. We are so happy that she is well taken care of but we all mourn for Robert and Jodi who are missing out on the exciting things that she is beginning to do. The two little boys are bonding more and more with papa and naya but still ask about their mom everyday and they miss her and she them.

Hi Jodi,
We just had Jack's 7th birthday party! I remember when you and I bought Mercer Mayer books together, to read to our boys. Remember how we both didn't like the bullying one because it taught the little girl to push the boys around. Now that we both have little girls, I don't so much mind if they learn to grow up with just a touch of toughness. Of course, Isabel might have a touch too much toughness, I think she could take down half the neighborhood boys and be very happy about it. The other half run away at the sight of her snarl! Keep fighting my sweet girl, and we will all keep fighting with you in our thoughts, prayers and dreams. I wish I could be there to hold your hand and talk and cry with you, but instead I sit here and talk to the computer, and the moose on the wall, but I'll explain that one later! Love you, Karen
