Wednesday

Jodi’s WBC’s are back to normal and her temperature is also normal. It looks as if we may have dodged the bullet with her having an infection. She got up into a chair today which gets the secretions in her lungs moving and helps her to feel better over all. They may have to put a needle into her right lung to drain the fluid that has accumulated as a result of this last surgery. She is hoping to avoid that. They have been giving her Lasix, a medication that helps to get the fluids off the body. They have introduced tube feedings at a very slow pace. By late this afternoon, she was complaining that she was both hungry and thirsty. She asked that they increase the rate that she is being fed through the tube. That is a good sign that the tube is in the right place because she is not having any pain with the feeding. Hopefully, it won’t be long before she is able to return to rehab and start to focus on relearning to walk etc. Her spirits are a little low but that could be because she is so tired physically as well as mentally. She has had to endure so much pain as of late.

Jodi-

I am so happy to hear that your progressing again. I am praying for you, your a wonderful person and I know you will pull through this! Maybe we should find that truck driver from Logan Canyon...he will make you "jump" right out of rehab! ;)

All the best wishes!

Jodi, I have been out of town for a while and was anxious to get back and see how you are doing. I am sorry to hear that you had some setbacks with your feeding tube, but I am glad you are recovering again. We will just have to pray harder for a speedy recovery! I think about you, Robert and the kids all the time. I am amazed by your strength, and yet, I wouldn't expect anything else from you. You are a strong person and you have a wonderful family to support you. My best to all of you. Thanks to Matt and your mom for posting on your "journey" of recovery...it helps all of us to see how you are doing. I am still waiting for you to be released to your mom's house so I can visit...so hurry up, will ya?? :) Lots of love and prayers,
Jodi Brown

I check your website all the time and have been waiting for something inspirational to come to mind so I can sweep you off your feet. But nothing came and then I realized that the fact that you continue to fight even with all the setbacks, YOU ARE THE INSPIRATION to all of us and I am truly grateful to you. I have truly come to love you and your family during this experience and I am indebted to you forever. You are in my prayers. Keep smiling TOUGH GIRL!!! Stacy Abbott:)
