Jodi has had the best two days she has had since she went onto ICU after her second surgery. That could be because her sister Wendy has been staying with her. She had the drainage line in her chest replaced with one that works and she is not feeling the kind of pain that was so awful. It looks like her lungs are finally clear. Wha hoo! I have been thinking about how many lines she has going into or out of her body. Let’s see: One in her nose for feeding, one into her arm and into her heart for feeding and meds, one in her back to drain off fluid, one in her abdomen for feeding/draining, one in her bladder, a heparin cap in her right arm. Seven in all. I am sure that is not a record but it seems to us that it is. Before all of this started with her feeding tube in her stomach being dislodged, she only had one line (the peg feeding tube in her abdomen) Oh well, hopefully we will begin to see these lines taken out as she continues to improve. She says “hi everyone” and Sherrie, I finally got those disc’s to her and she is loving them. Thanks to all of you for all you do and especially for your comments. She has me read them over and over. They really cheer her up!
Love Connie

Jode, I miss you and want to come and visit as soon as they'll let me bust through the door. I'm glad to hear that things are on the up side. Hopefully you can get rid of at least 1 of the 7 tubes soon. We pray for you and you family each day. We are greatful for your family to keep all of us updated on your progress. What a journal you have now! We love you and think about you lots!
Love, Blair and Bo-bay Flinders
Hi Jodi...I was so excited to hear you had a good couple of days. I am so glad your family has this blog so I can keep up on your progress. I read it a couple of times a day and when I do it amazes me what a strong person you are! The other day I was driving and I had an 80's station on and a Bobbi Brown song came on and it brought me back to our High school days and I just started laughing!! I want you to know there is not a day go by that I don't think about you and your family. Love Heidi :)
