March 18th & 19th

Another two good nights and days. Jodi did a lot of physical therapy, both with her therapist (who seems to know her business) and with me. She is doing exercises that will strengthen her breathing muscles (so that she can control her secretions and hopefully help her begin to swallow.) as well as hip, back and arm muscles. She will be making dinner tomorrow for her family with the help of her occupational therapist and she spent time on the floor with Ana Jain, changing her and other things to care for her. She will start next Thursday riding horses for occupational therapy. She also set the table, folded clothes, rinsed the dishes as part of her OT and worked with speech therapy. She has worked so hard the past two days. Robert and the boys come by every evening to have dinner with her and family time. Before Robert goes, they all sing a song and then have family prayer. It is good for her to be home (or at least in my home as opposed to the hospital.) Thank you all so much for fasting for her once more. We love you for it.

Jod,
We check your blog for updates everyday...we love reading about how you are doing and the wonderful things that are posted from all your family and friends. What a wonderful journal this blog will be for you and your family to have forever. You have such determination and strength! We go through our trials sometimes wondering "why" or thinking about what we should be getting out of our experiences. I am sure there will be many things that will come from this experience. You should be proud of yourself for your accomplishments because they are many!! What an example you have been (and are) to all of us. Your children will have such wonderful stories to tell of their mom and how hard she fought to be home with them. They will know how much you love them and they will definately know of your courage. What a wonderful opportunity for them to learn firsthand how fasting and prayers can make such a difference. The testimony they gain from this experience will be priceless to them. I am thrilled that you are home and spending some time with them. I am sure it was really hard to be away from them for so long. I KNOW I couldn't do what you have done!
I know I haven't commented for a long time, but I want you to know that we pray for you everyday and hope for your continued success! Keep up the good work and hang in there. You are one in a million! Seriously!
Love,
Dayton and Trish (Gibson) Donahoe
